Okay, so today I’m gonna share my experience with Brit by Burberry for Men. I’ve been messing around with fragrances for a while now, nothing too fancy, just trying to find what I like, what works, you know?
First off, I blind bought this stuff. Yeah, I know, risky move. I read a bunch of reviews, watched some videos, and figured, what the heck? Seemed like it could be a good everyday scent. So, I clicked “add to cart” and waited.
When it arrived, the bottle was kinda cool, classic Burberry style, plaid and all. I ripped open the packaging like a kid on Christmas morning and gave it a good spray on a test strip. Initial impression? Powdery. Like, baby powder powdery. Not what I was expecting, honestly.
The first few wears were…interesting. I wasn’t immediately blown away. The ginger and spice notes were there, but that powdery thing kept sticking around. It felt kinda mature, maybe even a bit old-school. I wasn’t sure if it was me. I almost regretted the blind buy.
But I decided to stick with it. I started experimenting with how much I sprayed, where I sprayed it. Turns out, less is more with this stuff. I went from spraying like four times to just two – one on the neck, one on the wrist.
Here’s where things started to change. As I wore it more, the dry down became my favorite part. The woods and tonka bean came out, and that powdery thing mellowed out into a really comfortable, warm scent. It became less “old man” and more “cozy sweater.”
I started getting compliments too. Nothing crazy, but people would say things like “You smell good” or “What are you wearing?” That definitely helped boost my confidence and made me appreciate it more.
I’ve worn it in different settings – to work, out with friends, even on a couple of dates. It seems to work well in cooler weather, definitely a fall/winter kind of scent. It’s not super loud, but it has decent longevity. I usually get around 5-6 hours before it starts to fade.
Here’s my breakdown:
- Pros: Smells great once it settles, good for cooler weather, decent longevity, versatile enough for different occasions, affordable.
- Cons: The initial powdery blast can be off-putting, might not be for everyone, projection isn’t the strongest.
Overall, I’m glad I stuck with Brit by Burberry for Men. It’s not my absolute favorite fragrance, but it’s definitely grown on me. It’s a solid everyday scent that’s easy to wear and gets the job done.
Would I recommend it? Maybe. If you’re into powdery, spicy, woody scents and you’re looking for something affordable and versatile, then give it a shot. Just don’t over spray it!
