Alright, so lemme tell you about this place, St Jude Cafe. My week was just shot, you know? Absolutely slammed. Felt like I was drowning in stuff I didn’t wanna do.
I just had to get out. Didn’t even know where I was going, just started walking. Needed a breather, big time. Then I stumbled upon this cafe. St Jude. Never heard of it. Looked kinda low-key, which, honestly, was exactly what I was looking for. Not another one of those super loud, “look at me” places.
So, I went in. First thing I noticed? It wasn’t packed with people trying to be seen. Thank god. Just a few folks scattered around, minding their own business. Found myself a little table. The vibe was just… chill. No pressure. Ordered a coffee, nothing fancy. Just needed that caffeine hit and a moment to myself.
And you know what? The coffee was alright. Not gonna win any awards, probably, but it did the trick. But it wasn’t really about the coffee. It was about sitting there, watching the world go by outside the window, and not having to think about deadlines or emails or any of that nonsense. Saw this one lady meticulously arranging her sugar packets before finally using one. People are weird, man.
I stayed for maybe an hour. Just sipping my coffee, staring out. It’s funny, right? How a simple cafe, a bit of quiet, can sort of reset your brain. Didn’t magically fix my crappy week, but I walked out of there feeling a bit more human. Less like a machine about to conk out.
So yeah, St Jude Cafe. It’s a place. It’s decent. If you need to escape the crazy for a bit, might be your spot. Or not. Whatever works, I guess. For me, that day, it did the job. That’s all I got on it, really.
